Innovations in Science and Technology (FINISTECH) organized the defense of its Bachelor’s
degree students. Among the 15 candidates who presented their projects, Ambuh Potia Nuella, a
Food Technology student, captivated the examination panel with the successful production of
wine made from broken rice, honey and other carefully selected ingredients. The project
highlighted FINISTECH’s commitment to innovation, practical learning and professional
excellence.

competence and ability to transform locally available raw materials into a value-added product.

According to, Nuella the wine was developed using broken rice, honey and other ingredients
through a controlled production process aimed at producing a quality drink while promoting
the use of locally available resources. She expressed confidence that, after minor improvements
and final adjustments, the product could be introduced to the market.

The innovation reflects FINISTECH’s vision of producing graduates equipped with practical
skills capable of addressing real-world challenges through research and entrepreneurship. By
encouraging students to develop market-oriented solutions, the institution continues to
strengthen its reputation as a centre for innovation and professional training.

Nuella’s achievement not only marked a successful academic defence but also demonstrated
the potentials of food technology research to create new opportunities in the agro-processing
sector, inspiring future innovators to explore unconventional ideas with commercial value.
